Nicaraguan Surf - A Photo Essay

Posted by James Marshall on

Following the popularity of the Lisbon photo essay, I wanted to send some more shots your way. This time they come from Nicaragua courtesy of my good friend, and super talented photog, Jeremy Thornes (otherwise known as @_n.i.z.a_ on Instagram, and 'NZwaves.com' on Facebook). Below is a selection of shots from a recent trip to Nicaragua, a destination which you may recall from the 'Summer Surf Travel Guide' enjoys 300+ offshore days a year, Pacific Ocean swells and tropical climes.

Enjoy!

Perfection

Not a drop out of place; the stuff dreams are made of ***drool emoji***

Deep

Deep in a Nicaraguan cavern; not your standard beachie huh?

Driving

Sitting tight in a slightly cosier barrel

Left Barrel

There are lefts as well...

Snap!

And some room for (blistering) turns too!

Some Size

But with hollow sets like this, racking up tube time must be the top priority

Keep It Coming

And the perfection just keeps coming, and coming, and coming...

So, shall we head to Nicaragua?

Thanks again – Talk soon,

James (Mammoth)
